Volcom Hawaii Pipe Houses Powered By Solar Electricity

Volcom Hawaii Pipe Houses Powered By Solar Electricity

Did you know that the Volcom Hawaii Pipe Houses (North Shore, Oahu) have solar panels installed on the roofs of both houses? Earlier this year (2016), we finished installing tons of new panels on the houses in prime locations to maximize our solar electricity potential. Good for the environment, good for the local community. A huge thanks goes out to Rising Sun Solar for their tremendous product, and to deem the Volcom houses the very first surf brand houses on Oahu’s North Shore to be #SponsoredByTheSun.

Over the recent years, solar panels have gained attention due to the vast amounts of business and residential owners installing them on their property in order to offset their electrical bill. Contrary, some of their initial setup costs have been a bit pricey, but the cost in the long-run, which we should all think in terms of, will have less money feeding your electric bill and more money in your pocket. Volcom’s journey to sustainability first starts in a New Future state-of-mind, a mindset that’s destined to turn our strong sustainability commitments into heartfelt actions. Since integrating our sustainability core values into our official mission statement, we have made great strides in implementing environmental-friendly operations and products into the market to ensure Volcom does its part to help preserve the oceans, beaches, mountains, and cities in which we live and work.

In a continual effort towards a New Future and our commitment to strengthen Volcom sustainability, this is just the beginning. Follow Volcom’s journey to Sustainability and to keep up on our efforts towards environmental protection.
